There's Paparazzi Everywhere!!!

Oh no not again....

Another big lawsuit for Justin Timberlake in November of 2004. The same year Justin's "Wardrobe Malfunction" had just been settled. But this contreversy didn't include Janet Jackson, it was his one and only girlfriend at the time Cameron Diaz. Walking back from a night out, Justin and Cameron where heading back home when L.A. photographers tried to take their pictures of them on a dark and deserted street. They came at them by surprise and, as said by the couples representatives, they were ambushed late at night by tons of L.A. paparazzi trying to get a good shot at the couple. Justin said that they were acting in self defense when they felt they were in danger or were surprised. The two photographers sued the couple for harassment charges and told the judge that the couple attacked them. They lawsuit continued for 7 months when finally the judge stated that the paparazzi indeed abushed them and they were taken by surprise and only defened themselves. The lawsuit was then settled in June of 2005.

When asked by other paparazzi about what had happened and why the couple attacked the other photogs, Justin had little to nothing to say.

Funny Nsync Moments to Remember...

Nsync....Over.

By august 2004, It was clear to everyone that the popular boyband *Nsync was not going to be working on another album any time soon. Everyone said they had broken up because of Justin Timberlake. But the truth of the matter is that they never truly broke up as friends, they still to this day talk to each other and like memeber Lance Bass told the tabloids, "the group never really broke up, we still talk and everything, but now we feel its time for us to go our seperate ways for a while." And the decision was made after a Challenege for the Children fundrasier (that the group had been sponsoring for many years), when Justin sat them down one by one and told them that he was not qoute on qoute "feeling the group anymore." Even though it was heart breaking for the *Nsync memebers including Justin himself they knew that they couldnt continue with the group if one of the member's heart was not in it. Lance Bass said on the Tyra banks show (October 2007) that "I would not want to be a part of something that would hold my bestfriend back, so we decided it was for the best..." but even though the group had gone their seperate ways, all of their fans still remember the legacy of *Nsync. By 2005, Jive records would create a new album for the group entitled "Greatest hits" to remember one of the number one boybands across the globe.

Nsync on Hiatus?

On July of 2004, Every one was waiting for the new Nsync Album to come out. But it didnt seem like it was even in production. Which left people wondering.....is Nsync over? Will there be another Album? At the time the answer to that question was up in the air. No one knew what the band would do next. Not even the memebers themselves.

After 4 best selling albums Nsync was one of the most popular pop boy bands known to man. But it seemed it was over for the group. The manager of Nsync had said the group didnt break up and is planning to do another Album. But after 3 years of no progress in the studio or any news on this album the group didnt know what would come of Nsync. With Justin and JC having their solo albums successful, and Lance and Joey in the movie business, the group seemed to be drifting apart.

But it was to early to draw any conclusions, The memebers always said that Nsync was still together but just taking a break. The fans however didnt know how long a break it would be.....

Justin's First Movie Moments

A while after his first debut solo album Justin got a little taste of the acting business. On March,13 2004 Justin began filiming his new feature film "Edison" with Morgan Freeman. The movie was not very successful. So it didnt make it to the theaters. It went staright to video.

But seeing as Justin is a very confident person he didnt let the movie's low rating get him down. He went on to be in other film's like Alpha Dog, with co-star Ben foster. This movie luckily was one of Justin's most successful feature film that he has done so far. Justin had the difficult task of playing a gangster who gets himself into a bad situation with the main character Johnny (Ben Foster). But Justin pulled the role off very well. He was applauded for his fantastic performance in this movie which was realesed in 2006. This movie personally has to be my favorite movie that Justin co-starred in. It had fun moments, sad moments, and very heartfelt moments, if you see this movie you are bound to cry at the end.

Justin also starred in two others called, Black Snake Moan, and Southland Tales.



But this wouldnt be the last of Justin's acting career.

January 31, 2004, Justin timberlakes birthday, Justin got a chance to perform with long time idol Janet Jackson at the 2004 CBS Superbowl half time show. It was Justins birthday present to be performing with one of his teenage idols. He was so excited for the performance. But what would happen on the stage would bring nothing but bad publicity.

While performing "Rock Your Body" with Janet Jackson, Justin accidently ripped off a piece of Janets clothing exposing her right breast. Everyone in the audience was shocked, and Janet and Justin were shocked as well. They quickly went to a commercial break after such a public malfunction. Over 143 million people had seen this incident and it was not something that would just go away. After the performance, many tabliods were ready to get their story. After talking to Justin about this highly publizied incident he explains it only as a wardrobe malfunction. But after a while the incident turned into a comical joke.

Many late night shows called it the "Nipplegate" and this phrase would be the phrase of the whole 2004 year. No one had forgotten about it. But it wasnt so much as fun and games for CBS, and Janet Jackson...they were all blamed for the incident including Justin but the one that ended up being sued was the network CBS. For not making sure the wardrobe was created properly and they were fined over half a million dollars. This incident also affected Janet Jackson more than it did Justin. Since many people were afraid for this to happen again they banned Janet from performing in the super bowl again and that same year she was barred off from performing at the Grammy awards. They both had apologized for the incident over and over that year.

While Janet didnt want to appear that year for the Grammy's in February, Justin still went and apologized once again, performed and even got two Grammy awards for Best pop vocal album, and Best male pop vocal performance for "Cry Me A River" He didnt let that one accident break his focus in the music business.
